You probably saw this on some other blog, this is so amazing... This is another project by Kelli Anderson, who already have her exellence page here. But this push design to antoher level... Let her explain : it is a paper record player wedding invitation! In the booklet-style invitation, a bit of paper-folding amplifies the sound of a sewing needle moving along the grooves of a flexidisc record.

The resulting booklet is comprised of a cover, two inner pages, a letterpressed band (with instructions and a tear-off RSVP postcard), and a flexdisc on a screwpost. The recipient bends the second page of the booklet back to create a tented “arm.” With the needle placed, they then carefully spin the flexidisc at 45 RPM (ish) to hear the song.

I love the effect of the caracteres changing clothes when the flexi disc move around... imply a masterpiece !!!

I think the new Ben Harper album was released in France today while it will be tomorrow in other countries... why ? Anyway, it is always great to listen a new album from an artist you follow for years... The one before, with Relentless 7 is one of my favorit, and I expect a lot of this one, and for the moment... a lot of promises seems to be there... Can't have a complete idea as I only listen to first tracks, but, first feeling is positive... Have to put it on disc to listen it load in my car for sure ;) It will be great to saw him live this summer, I saw him 10 years ago I guess, and if the album are great, the man on live is even better...

Design work life just did a post I have to share with you too, the Mad Brew identity done by Adam Hill... The idea behind it is the aesthetic of a traveling Victorian salesman and the concept of one entity 'wearing many hats' was used to neatly package the three brands together.
