The work of Yves Marchand & Romain Meffre is not only taking pictures of ruins, it is the memory of humanity... It reminds me "I am legend" amazing city were human being is gone... But this is real... They explain it better than me :

Ruins are the visible symbols and landmarks of our societies
and their changes, small pieces of history in suspension.

The state of ruin is essentially a temporary situation that happens at
some point, the volatile result of change of era and the fall of empires.
This fragility, the time elapsed but even so running fast, lead us to watch them one very last time :
being dismayed, or admire, making us wondering about the permanence of things.

Photography appeared to us as a modest way
to keep a little bit of this ephemeral state.

This what I prefer when I discover a designer or studio work... I am first attrackted by one image (this time a reader of the blog submit it) and then project after project I feel like "hooo, great idea", "wow, nice paper effect"... "how they do this??? "... "nice"... you know these feeling...

So, Face, this Mexico studio, directly go into the "exellence section" for their amazing design ideas mixed with stunning papers effects...

At last, we get the calendars and during the last 2 days, we have to do all the packages... As we said, orders done before december 25 will get extra cards... So, I am very pleased to have them in hands, it is a very nice feeling...

After numbering each of them, we put them in boxes... A lot of them are going to France, USA, Germany, Spain, Italy, UK and other European country, but we even have orders from Taiwan, South Africa, Brazil, New Zealand, India or Indonesia... Always amazing how the world is small with a web access ;)

We still have some copies for sell, around 30 copies left... So, if you want your copy, it is now or never... I have of course keep copies for myself, and these are a little special... will show you why another day...

5 days without post on graphic exchange... if you think it was too long, you are addicted ;) I spend the last days in Paris for a nice new project, I am impatient to let you know more, but not yet... I like the idea of always going further, and I will have a lot of new things to present in 2011...

Anyway, while I was working there, the calendar arrived, at last, at home... With some gift send by Marek, some nice food in very nice packaging... I love exchanges ;)

So, the calendar would start to be send tomorrow, and I will put some more pictures...
