When we decided to visit Thaïland and Bali, it was to see if another life was possible... And it is ! So, seeing the Helevetica wood letters and other projects started with craftmans there, we deceide to do it, living there for some months, or more... We have now to figure out all the "technical things", but life is too short to wait !!! |

I won't talk about the restaurants because there as so much you can stop on the road... But I love the "Quai de Valmy" (Goncourt station, line 11) the nice place where Amelie Poulain ricochet in the movie ;) You can found there Artazart the most amazing book store for designers and photographers... they now have lomography camera and so much other stuffs... |

At few streets from there, there is the most amazing gluten free place of all Paris ! As my wife and daughter are gluten free, we taste almost all the cakes ! Helmut newcake staff are so nice, and they also have great products such as these clipper teas. |

The place I was the most impatient to visit was the famous Merci concept store (St Sebastien Froissart station, line 8)... and I was not desepointed... we spend almost an hour in the shop and the great "cantine"... |

And to end up this great day, we go the "Halles" (line 10) to take some stuff at MUJI... Just outside, there is the nice Lov Organic tea shop with these nice packaging... |

The feedback on the first images of the Helvetica Wood letters are amazing, thanks a lot for all these nice messages... But as I told, they are not on sell yet... In fact, they stay in Bali for now, waitting for me the came back ! What I will do in september, staying there for some months !!! Here comes some "behind the scene" images of Mr Eka making one of them... |

Being in Bali was on of the most creative experience I ever have... It was so easy to found people that can bring to life what I have in mind... Doing the harmonie intérieure stickers is something, but I walways want to push my love for letters to another level... I have the idea of an Helvetica wood letters collection for a long long time, and it is something important for me to present these first images... They werre taken earlier in June, when I get the first samples from Mr Eka, the wood craftman I met in Bali and I work with... There will be 2 Helvetica collections, one in Suar wood, a local common wood, and the second one is in colors, made on recycled teak wood... Each alphabet will be in limited edition of 500 letters... coming in small fabirc bags I will show you next time... |

I really like the next image as it is a very nice memory to me, talking with Mr Eka how to do wood coasters with my logo... You can see on the front a Bali coffee, which is so strong !!! |

Wow, this is already the end of the trip... 2 months went so fast, and so amazing things happen here... I have no real plan before coming, but I really get more than I expect... Travels change you ? For sure, it will be different now... |

What I really like in Bali (and in Thailand too) is how the recycle old wood, so I also made a set of products on recycled teck wood. I will came back on a futur post on the origin of this wood, but the result is more beautifull than what I expect ! |

I get the samples of my first products made in Bali... I would love to show them but I prefer to wait... production time will took around 3 more weeks, and then they will took the boat for another 1 month... So, I hope to have them at the end of july, early august... |
